Overview
Solicits volunteers over the telephone.

Contacts list of customers provided by phone, to offer or persuade them to donate their time to our clients.

Expectation: Contacts are productive, profitable, professional, accurate, and complete.

Handles initial objections and attempts to overcome them.
Expectation: Fundraising activities are effective, informative, profitable, and complete.

Performs job by standards set forth in our Client File Policy Agreement
Expectation: Follow rules and procedures of fundraising calls as stated by employer.

Records updated or relevant information to help develop prospect lists.
Expectation: Records are accurate, current, and complete. Prospect lists are productive, accurate, and complete.

Attends training on client and marketing strategies, and demonstrates an effective understanding of the call cycle.
Expectation: Training is effective, productive, and ultimately, profitable.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Individuals should be outgoing, with a strong desire to master sales and customer service skills. Also, they need to have knowledge of principles involved in promoting, and selling products or services. They need to have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral.
